Biometrics-- fast forward to the future
Biometrics has slowly but surely entered our workplace and household from the realm of science fiction. It’s not an uncommon thing nowadays to see fingerprint or eye-scan enabled locks for office place or individual homes. There are some concerns but I guess those are small niggles vis-à-vis the huge benefits and enhanced security features that they provide. The simple locks can be picked by anyone without much ado… and after the lock is broken the whole house is waiting to get robbed!! Fingerprints or retina scan are unique to a person and hence cannot be tampered with. They are safe, secure and no there is fear of losing them just like the ordinary keys. They can be programmed for each member of the family (including kids) and exceptions can be provided for family members and friends for temporary access. I am sure that in the modern household this security tool will become as ubiquitous as the ordinary lock and key in the near future.

Gee, you need to learn that fingerprint scanners CAN be fooled simply with a little bit of glue, a digital camera and a bottle cap. Fingerprint scanners have already been hacked!
Now your whole house is waiting to get robbed.
